  @Oliv2831

its probably something as simple as

Has this packet come from known device MAC XXX with IP YYYY - Yes - Pass, No - Drop

The AP will know what MACs are directly associated with it and have passed the wireless authentication, if traffic comes from a MAC it doesn't know about inbound to one of its radio interfaces, it would be easy to drop

Main: ER8411 x1, SG3428X x1, SG3452 x1, SG2428LP x1, SG3210 x1, SG2218P x1, SG2008P x3, ES208G x1, EAP650 x6 Remote: ER7206 v2 x1, ER605 v2 x3, SG2008P x2, EAP650 x2, ES205G x1 Controller: OC300

  @GRL

Just monitoring MAC-IP associations doesn't help much, IMHO : if Alice gives Bob her credentials, Bob will still get network access and the AP will not detect anything to alarm about as MACAlice-IPAlice doesn't have anything in common with MACBob-IPBob.

If you had a MAC-PPSK association monitoring, that would be very different : that would be very useful, a real game changer for hospitality !

But that is an entirely different scanario than this, which i think is much more focused on preventing sharing by using a device on the wifi (like a phone or travel router) as a hotspot / rebroadcaster itself

  @Omadauser200131

Hopefully, other devices will be supported, especially the EAP110 and EAP225.smiley

Currently, only certain EAPs' latest firmware includes this feature. Below are some supported models:

Ceiling:
EAP660HD v1&v2
EAP620HD v3
EAP610 v1&v2
Wall:
EAP655-wall
Outdoor:
EAP625-Outdoor
EAP623-Outdoor
EAP610-Outdoor

Note: please make sure update to the latest firmware.

  @Vincent-TP

Oh they skip EAP225-Outdoor update for this new feature

You have to manually update EAP110 version 5.0.9, I tried it's working except for EAP225-Outdoor still waiting for update ASAP

Hi  @Leik

Are you using EAP110 ceiling mount?  it's not supported yet.

  @Vincent-TP I have already updated the EAP110 to version 5.0.9 and users can still share the Internet through an access point.

Hi  @Leik

As I mentioned, EAP110 doesn't support this feature, need to wait for firmware update.

Do you know if the Cable Test function is supposed to work well in this beta?

I just tested it with a cable, where I cut the orange/white cable and the tool still says all 4-pair are OK.

When I use the show cable-diagnostic command terminal says Pair A&B are normal.

Using a SG2008P v3.20 with firmware 3.20.9
