Hi  @denis-odessit

Is this issue only occured after you update your controller to this pre-release version?

Please also let us know the model number and firmware versions of the EAP products you are using. You may share with us a screenshot of the device page of your controller.

Hi  @Skier16

As GRL said, please wait for the firmware update for the gateway router. Thanks.

It seems like only newer products have device id, I have checked EAP653v1, EAP625hdv1 EAP610-Outdoorv1 and SG2008v1, SG2008Pv1 none have device id, but I found device id on ES205GP, SG2210P v5.20 also has device id, so my conclusion is that device id is not found on older products. When did these device id start coming?

Hi  @Babun-Sikder

You can consider Omada Guard as the new designation for VIGI VMS Cloud after its integration with Omada networks. For now, no further details are available. Thanks for your understanding.

Hi @Vincent-TP,

Thanks for the clarification and helpful details!

Great to know that Omada Central is based on the cloud controller and that the software controller currently only recognizes NVR/IPC for topology mapping.

Understood on the switch firmware compatibility — will make sure all devices are updated accordingly.

Regarding Omada Guard, I’m really curious about this feature — any insights on what it will offer or an estimated release timeline? Would love to see more advanced threat detection or edge security functions integrated into the platform if that’s the direction it's going.

Thanks again for the ongoing support and great updates!

Thank you for the latest update; so far, no problems, loads of new features, and a quick response. I tried Prohibit Wi-Fi Sharing, but it only works with eap110 firmware version 5.0.9. Its not working on eap225 above APs I think it need an update on eap

I was testing out with EAP653 V1.6 I've also looked at EAP650 v1.26. Neither of which have this device key.

I feel like for compatibity, it would have been easier/better to use the S/N -- unless there's some conflict with the cloud controllers that would prevent that?

Agreed, S/N or device MAC - both of which are unique to that device anyway, TP-Link must have a central server of macs<>keys , and if this functionality if cloud based only, cant it just reference that ?

Main: ER8411 x1, SG3428X x1, SG3452 x1, SG2428LP x1, SG3210 x1, SG2218P x1, SG2008P x3, ES208G x1, EAP650 x6 Remote: ER7206 v2 x1, ER605 v2 x3, SG2008P x2, EAP650 x2, ES205G x1 Controller: OC300

I don't have any information on my side about when and which models of devices started to have device keys for the time being. It shouldn't be a compatibility issue, I'm leaning more towards MRS's conclusion.
