Omada Software Controller Backup File Size
I used to take local file backup on my omada controller software since 1,5 years. It used to be 8 mb - 30 mb. But after a specific version, I takes around 50 kb or less for local backup file. Is backup method changed or there is someting wrong with my backup file ?
I have about 17 omada contolled switches and access points in total.
Backup file size:

that's the normal size for a backup file of a controller, please feel free.
Did you check all the backup options before? That may be the cause for a larger backup file.
BTW, are you still using controller v5.15.8? That's a little old. You may update it to the latest one.

Mine is around 700kb
5 sites, about 25 omada devices total. Not saving client history data, just settings, known clients and users.
I know my backups work fine for controller restores.

@Vincent-TP Yes but backup files are small for almost 1 year maybe as you say algorithm changed. Here my current backup;

You can test like this:
download and install a fresh new omada controller on a PC, restore the config file to the controller, and see if any config will be missed.
