Model: EAP225-Outdoor
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 5.1.10 Build 20241023 Rel. 65376

I've been trying to wrap my head around it, but honestly I still can't figure it out.

I have a EAP225-Outdoor, connected via Ethernet to a X50, on a wall outside my house.

10-15m, right in front of it, I have another EAP225-Outdoor on another outside wall and 1m to the side I have a C310 (WiFi) camera.

The second EAP is on a mesh, with the first one. The C310 camera is also connected to the first EAP. And one would suspect that the EAP would have a better RSSI than the camera - at least from a hardware perspective.

But...

C310:

EAP225-Outdoor (second one):

I did a lot of configuration changes, on both EAPs:

- different bands

- 20MHz, 40MHz, Auto

- only the 2.4Ghz is enabled

- etc.

But with the same results.

At this point, I have most devices: cameras, iot devices, esp32 devices, etc., connected to the faraway EAP on my house's outside wall, rather than the one near them.

Hi  @Osz

Wireless environments are inherently unstable and can easily be disrupted by obstacles or various other factors.

You may refer to the following to optimize the wireless performance for the EAP225-outdoor.

>>>Do you mean there is no device connecting to the mesh EAP? if so, what's the status of the second EAP on the controller's page?

Would you please share a screenshot of the controller's Device page?

In the meantime, you may change the txpower of the first EAP to Low to have a try:

  @Vincent-TP

I have one or two, esp32 devices connected to it, working as sensors that give a reading once in a while - and even that is somewhat unreliable.

But in no way I can relly on it to have a more thorough and stable connection, such as connecting cameras, shelly devices serving as gates opener-bypass and many other instances and needs.

C310, connected to the first EAP:

But if I locked it to the second EAP, right next to it:

The problem is how unstable that connection becomes throughout the day.
