Model: EAP620 HD
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I now have no Internet access in a large portion of my house, because both the 2.4 and 5 GHz sections of this access point do not pass Internet traffic. I'm 15 feet away in direct line of sight, with full signal.

Historically, this thing has periodically failed to provide Internet access on the 5 GHz radio while the 2.4 worked. But now both have failed. Of course the asinine app is of no use because it doesn't connect directly to the hardware (so what's the point), so it can't "find" the AP.

The AP is mounted on a wall behind a projection screen, so continually taking the screen down and physically resetting it is not a viable solution. Is there some way to connect directly to it wirelessly without the LAN and issue a reboot or something?

Really fed up with this.

What hardware version and firmware do you have on the access point?

  @MR.S Thanks for the reply.

There was no way to answer that initially, since of course I couldn't connect to it.

I had to connect to my other AP, which allowed the Omada app to see the problematic one. This showed:

hardware: 2.0

firmware: 1.3.0 build 20240828

I contacted support previously, and updated the firmware. Clearly this did not fix it.

Ok, then support is probably working on your problem, but you can test out version 1.4.1 prerelease and see if that helps.
