Hello,

I have my HQ with OC400 controller managing a dozen of distant branches.

I recently setup my HQ Wi-Fi with an external portal (hosted on an external webserver).

Everything works fine for HQ.

But when I tried to setup the portal for the branches, the captive page (ex : captive.apple.com for iOS) never redirect me, it stays blank and ends up with this message in French "La connexion à cette borne d'accès n'a pas permis l'ouverture de la page car le serveur ne répondait plus".

I used to observe this at HQ before because I didn't whitelisted the external portal URL in "Access Control" > "Pre-Authentication Access List" ; which I've now done for the HQ and for the branches too.

My theory is : the user is getting redirected to the controller before getting redirected to the external portal. But I have no idea what could be this specific URL :

  • Controller local IP ?
  • Controller public IP ?
  • With a specific port after that I have to NAT ?

Could you help me see it through please ?

Thanks ahead.
