Omada improvement request: Search for MAC Addresses more flexible in Omada Controller Client List
Dear TP-Link Team,
I would like to suggest a small but helpful improvement to the MAC address search function in the Omada Controller.
Currently, when searching for a device in the client list by MAC address, the input format must exactly match the format used by the system (usually with hyphens).
However, MAC addresses are often copied from other sources (like operating systems or router logs) where they are formatted with colons or without any separators at all.
It would be a great usability improvement if the Omada Controller could automatically normalize MAC addresses entered in the search field — for example, by accepting and converting common formats like AA:BB:CC:DD:EE:FF
or AABBCCDDEEFF
to the internal format used by Omada.
This would save time and reduce frustration when quickly trying to locate a device.
Thank you for considering this idea!
Best regards,
Thomas
