Model: OC200   OC300
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.36.6 Build 20250613 Rel.68989

The new controller features (5.14.32.56) in the beta release are fantastic.

A few suggestions regarding the client Type and vendor (which are a great new feature that I had asked for - THANK-YOU!)

1. Allow additional types to be added, or alternatively add in more corporate types rather than residential. Some would include

  • IP Card Reader or IP Access Control
  • IP Relay
  • IoT

2. Allow Vendors to be added

3. Allow the Batch configuration to set the client type and vendor (I have 298 clients I need to set, with really 4 types, Card Readers/IP Access Control, Intercoms, Relays and HVAC)

4. Change the Icon for the IPC to look more like an enterprise camera (e.g. Hikvision Turret or Dome camera) rather than a home camera (minor)

  @AussieMan

Hello, thank you for posting on the TP-Link community. We appreciate all your feedback and feature requests here. While we don't have any specific details to share regarding whether the feature can be implemented across all the controllers, or when it might be, I'll ensure that I log this feature request and pass it along to the team.
Feel free to let us know of any other feature requests you may have; we’d be happy to send them up for you.

+1 on additional types

- Phone or IP Phone of the like would be a real obvious one.  Makes up a significant percent of IP addresses at most companies.

+1 on being able to change these in bulk.  Kind of a basic add a check box to the client page and then a select all, select all filtered and bulk edit buttons.  Extra points for being able to use the shift and control buttons when selecting.  You know, like most web UIs have nowadays...

Customize Vendor (name, icon)

+100 for adding the ability to customize vendors (names and icons). Why? There are way too many for TP-Link to manage, and you probably don't want to spend your software engineering time on this.

It is missing some obvious categories

- Phone   (for desk and voip phones, not mobiles)

- Payment Card Terminal

- AV Equipment  (AV recievers already exist, but im on about things like web controllable Amplifiers, DMX controllers, sound and lighting desks etc)

- Display (display screens, marketing screens etc - TV already exists, but these arent TVs)

- Raspberry Pi / Single Board Computer (this is a Vendor option under Desktop, but its not really a desktop is it)

- Programmable Controller (things like IP controlled relay boxes etc)

- Security System (intruder, fire alarms etc)

Main: ER8411 x1, SG3428X x1, SG3452 x1, SG2428LP x1, SG3210 x1, SG2218P x1, SG2008P x3, ES208G x1, EAP650 x6 Remote: ER7206 v2 x1, ER605 v2 x3, SG2008P x2, EAP650 x2, ES205G x1 Controller: OC300
