Model: ER605 (TL-R605)
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version:

I note the USB port on the ER605 provides power

Can it be reliably used to provide power to the OC200?  I see that it does power on the OC200 in testing.  Is this a long term viable option?

I dont have a POE switch in the small network im deploying at a famly house.

  @WEBSwa

Omada series USB port complies to the standard USB. So it can supply power.

Yet we do not recommend you use the OC200 on the USB. Potentially, there might be a problem with underpower, which causes instability on the OC200.

That is to say, it is doable but if you run into problems, you should consider getting it a stable power supply like regular 5V1A charger or similar products to provide sufficient power.

Tried it... underpowered. It will reboot randomly. Furthermore, for some strange, internal reason, OC200 must be PoE powered to make use of the USB stick for backup purpose.
