Modular Pause Time for Portal Authentication
Hello TP-Link Team!
I am currently running an Omada setup for a voucher-based internet subscription service for my clients.
I would like to request a feature involving pause times which works like this:
1. Client logs in and is authenticated via voucher with 'by usage' limit. System logs voucher usage start time until a predefined time limit separate from the usage limit for the voucher (say 24h).
2. Client disconnects from the WiFi and session pauses (if not consumed).
3. Client is disconnected after consuming 'by usage' time limit or after 24h (example).
This is something like combining the 'by time' and 'by usage' voucher expiration settings where the client can either access the internet for a predefined time limit in terms of total sessions and also within a predefined time set upon voucher use.
Example:
Voucher is valid for 1 use, does not expire when not used, valid for 5 hours 'by usage' and expires 1 day upon usage.
This is to optimize how clients time their usage times and also provides them a general expectation how and when the service ends. Also, this optimizes the portal manager's workflow for voucher creation, and in my case, also printing. WIth the current portal functions, voucher expiry can only be set either indefinitely, fixed dates, or by schedule. Sometimes, a batch of vouchers would not be totally sold or used and will expire, prompting the portal manager to create new vouchers again and also hassling the costumer by making them return the expired voucher for replacement.
