Model: EAP650-Outdoor
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.5 Build 20250321

Good morning to all, if I connect the Starlink gen2 router with EAP 650 Outdoor v1 via mesh, after 1 or 2 days (it varies), it goes offline. It's not an interference problem; I live in the countryside. I don't have a complex network; I just have one subnet, and the devices (~20) are all connected to it. Just to be sure, I tried running only the 2.4 GHz antenna and then only the 5 GHz antenna, with the same problem.
If i use EAP 650 like a simple extender it work fine frown

Has anyone had similar experiences? Suggestions on how to resolve this? Thanks
Ciao Medo

Hi  @Medorex

Thanks for posting here.

When you say offline, do you mean the EAP showing disconnected on Omada controller? Or are you saying the EAP is disconnected from the Starlink router?

if I connect the Starlink gen2 router with EAP 650 Outdoor v1 via mesh,

>>TP-Link EAP can't mesh with third party wifi routers. Do you mean you configure the EAP650-outdoor as repeater mode?

If so, how is the EAP650 connected to the network? It doesn't support repeater mode.

To understand the situation better, please let us know all the TP-Link products in the network and how did you install/manage them.

@Vincent-TP I connected the router to another (POE) port of my Netgear switch and now it hasn't disconnected for a couple of weeks and it works great, I had read in another forum that there could be problems with 10/100/1000 switches that for some reason don't negotiate well with the 2.5Gb port of this EAP, so it could be solved with an intermediate switch, I was lucky!

I connected this EAP with the patch cable to SL router (with his adapter) and set the mesh

when the EAP disconnected via mesh I try to configure it as AP but it worked very badly

Sorry for the late reply but i wanted to make sure the EAP was working as it should, so this 3D can be of help to others, bye and thanks
