Please make a function to select a default sorting order for the client list.

Example:

sort by IP address

or sort by VLAN

or sort by SSID

Currently one may select any of those sorts but if you change tabs and go back to client list, guess what: is sort in a random order again. Doesn`'t make sense.

Allow us to set a default sorting order so every time we go to the clients tab: guess what ORGANIZED as we want it!

Thank you very much!

Hello, thank you for posting on the TP-Link community. We appreciate all your feedback and feature requests here. While we don't have any specific details to share regarding whether the feature can be implemented across all controllers or when it might be, I'll ensure that I log this feature request and pass it along to the team.
Feel free to let us know of any other feature requests you may have; we’d be happy to send them up for you.

Yes please add this feature, currently the sorting order is completely random!

I think its based on the underlying MAC, rather than specified client name, but it is incredibly irritating to have to resort every time you load the tabs

Main: ER8411 x1, SG3428X x1, SG3452 x1, SG2428LP x1, SG3210 x1, SG2218P x1, SG2008P x3, ES208G x1, EAP650 x6 Remote: ER7206 v2 x1, ER605 v2 x3, SG2008P x2, EAP650 x2, ES205G x1 Controller: OC300

  @DerChivas

i double checked (i hid the MAC column before)

You are completely right!  I can see no underlying pattern to how these are ordered.  Its not by name, IP, mac, network, uptime, download, upload......

And for those of us with even basic naming conventions, even a simple sort by name does wonders!

Main: ER8411 x1, SG3428X x1, SG3452 x1, SG2428LP x1, SG3210 x1, SG2218P x1, SG2008P x3, ES208G x1, EAP650 x6 Remote: ER7206 v2 x1, ER605 v2 x3, SG2008P x2, EAP650 x2, ES205G x1 Controller: OC300

  @GRL yes as you say and clearly show with the screenshots the difference it`s quite big. Now the annoyance comes from the list being random again and again every time you change to another tab, instead of "at least" maintaining the order you already selected for that session. But I think the real solution is to have the option to set a default sorting order, so no matter what if you come back a month later the list is organized as you left it. Also it occurs to me now, the "tabs" (IP, name, SSID, etc), should be able to be dragged and dropped for the order you may need. Like for example: let's say you need to monitor what's the device downloading more data. So you would need the download data tab to be the first shown in descending order (most first). And keep that setup for every time you log in. Doesn't make sense that tab being last and in what ever order. This needs rework please!
