Is portal authentication encrypted?

As the title states.
In an OC300 + EAP660 environment, when using portal authentication, is the communication from the user's device to the EAP660 encrypted?
Logically speaking, it should be encrypted, and testing it would confirm this. However, since it's difficult to test on the currently operational system, I'm asking here.

Hi @arc_1
Yes.
The current version enforces HTTPS encryption by default.
For those unauthenticated clients, you can still force HTTPS through the following options:

Thank you.
My concern is that when an unauthenticated client uses portal authentication (external RADIUS), the communication between the client and EAP is not encrypted, potentially allowing credentials to be exchanged in plain text.
If HTTPS Redirection is not enabled, does the portal for portal authentication default to HTTP?

Hi @arc_1
With the advancement of security technologies nowadays, HTTPS is enabled by default in most cases – but this isn't absolute. The behavior may vary depending on factors like:
Browser type and version, Device specifications and Network environment configurations, etc.
You may have a test.
This can be checked from the URL bar here:
this won't display by default, click the URL bar, it will show up.
