ER706W v1.20 high wifi drop rate
Hi,
I have a large drop rate from the Gateway Wifi ER706W v1.20. Is this a hardware fault?
No such problem with the EAPs, all firmware up to date.
Any ideas? Any further info required to help ?
Thanks,
Simon

If the wireless devices do not have a real problem with the WIFI, then this could be a false alarm.
Regular disconnection would be counted. If your majority of the devices prefer the WIFI from the wireless router, this would be higher than other.

Hi
Thanks for your input.
I just don't like all the errors but if is considered acceptable then this is the way it will be.
There are the occasional drop outs from the Google home max and the nest door bell keeps fighting to get off of it's own eap in the garage and trying to connect to the gateway wifi (I have reduced dB threshold to help offload sticky devices.) Apart from that no major issues. I have forced all the Google products and IoT on their own separate and dedicated 2.4GHz SSID to reduce their inability to sustain on the 5GHz.
Thanks again

They drop from the SSID due to the range issues, which might cause some graphs like this.
You can consider putting an AP closer to these devices, which are frequently dropping from the network.
This could also be a problem with the roaming. As for the roaming, it would drop from the previous AP before it quickly connects to the closer AP.
