Is the EAP772 v1 still current?
Is the EAP772 v1 still current?
Hi,
I just had an EAP772 AP get stuck in adopting after being flaky. I rebooted the entire system and upgraded the controller firmware. I went to check the AP firmware and noticed it is on an old build from 20240801. I tried to update and it is on the latest version. I checked the EAP772 downloads page and v1 hasn't had an update yet V2.6 is on build 20250327. So my question, is the EAP772 v1 still supported with updates?

Thank you for contacting us.
To help us identify the issue more accurately, could you also let us know where the device is being deployed—on a home network or a business network? Additionally, may I ask which country you are located in?
Are you having any issues with the device? or you just want to update the firmware of it?
The current firmware version available for that unit is : EAP772(EU)_V1_1.0.14 Build 20240801 and since the device already stopped manufacturing the EAP772 V1 so there is no future firmware from the last release. but we still offer troubleshooting assistance and limited warranty based on the date of purchase.

Yeah I purchased back in October 2024. I think I'll be trying to offload these and go with Ubiquiti.

@pendamos This is why TP-Link should get fined or banned. Drops support of a business product within a year. I had two when released (v.1). Such a waste of money and will never buy anything TP-Link again, personally or for business.
