  @Vincent-TP The next day, remote access was working.

I found a problem: when I changed the icon from IP camera to dome camera, and the system no longer groups them into camera subcategories, restarting the controller didn't help.

I disagree.  Its far easier and safer to have a central port profile containing the vlan settings that if you need to change (say, moving IP cameras onto a new vlan) you dont have to go through, in my case, over 180 switch ports in one giant unbroken list.  Even though you can select more than one port for bulk config the risk of accidentally selecting an incorrect port (say a switch uplink) is high and then poof, a whole network segment goes down and you cannot fix that remotely.  And who wants to do that every single time you want to change a vlan?  With the old style profiles its one change and BAM - all affected ports get the change all at once.  you only needed to do the initial setup of the profile-per-port once

For moving all 180 cameras to a new VLAN, you don't even need to touch the ports list.

Just go find the VLAN → Surveillance VLAN Interface setting and change the VLAN ID there.  one change and every single camera port gets the new VLAN. No risk of nuking your uplink.

I dont have any cameras, i was just using that as an ecample, and that wouldnt apply to cameras that omada cant manage directly anyway.

Honestly, I think the "Switch Port Profile" thing is overkill for most simple setups, especially for things like an IPC network where everything is just on an Access VLAN. The new design really shines when you're setting up a new network. It's so much better because you get to create the VLAN and bind the ports in one single, fluid step on the same page. The old way felt so clunky, having to navigate to different sections to get it all done. It's the same for making changes. Need to tweak the VLAN ID? Or what if you're adding a new camera and need to assign its port? You just edit the VLAN Interface directly in the new layout. Easy.

In v6, when you create a new vlan you can assign a switch and configure the switch as DHCP directly in the add/edit screen........does this mean that DHCP reservations will now be honored by switch DHCP as well?

  @Kenallo

Thanks for asking. It's a little complicated to explain.

We are preparing some documents to introduce this. You may keep an eye on the official website.

  @Vincent-TP Amazing, it supports capturing the 802.11 packets now. But what is Steam mode, how it works?

  @Vincent-TP

Do you know when the Switches MAC based VLAN which was supposed to be introduced in V5.15.30 will be implemented?

I can't see any mention of it in the release notes for V6.

  @Vincent-TP

Hello team,

Does ARP function work in this controller version ?

As you know ARP does not work in the latest stable version and easy-managed switches does not report client IPs to controller.

Thank you !

Mesh traffic

Hi  @Vincent-TP

We need information about in this new version 6, how can we see mesh traffic, we use this value to do an aproximation in how much bandwidth can we share to our customers.
