Hi  @GRL

Yes, we have a plan to add this feature for switches. No ETA yet~

In v6, when you create a new vlan you can assign a switch and configure the switch as DHCP directly in the add/edit screen........does this mean that DHCP reservations will now be honored by switch DHCP as well?

Hi  @268BBA

The current version does not add this feature. Please stay tuned for future updates.

Hello team,

Does ARP function work in this controller version ?

As you know ARP does not work in the latest stable version and easy-managed switches does not report client IPs to controller.

Thank you !

You can find mesh information if you press the access point and hold the cursor over this field.

  @Vincent-TP

Hi I have an issue that my wifi clients are quite often displayed as gw client on topology view. It happens from time to time and they are going back as wifi clients after some time.

Hi  @SlowPL

Thanks for the feedback. Please share with us the following info to better understand the situation:

1. A screenshot of the Device  page so we could know the model number and firmware version of the SDN devices you are using;

2. Is there any wired client plugged into the gateway?

3. Did this occur before? Or only happens with the V6 controller?

4. When they showing connecting to the gateway, did you check the client list? are they displaying as wired clients or wireless?

Hi  @mbentley

This feedback was forwarded to support team, please kindly check your email inbox for further follow up. Thank you for the feedback.

There are two people who reported issues with the controller reaching out to check things like firmware updates and issues with connection to the cloud services:

https://github.com/mbentley/docker-omada-controller/discussions/620

https://github.com/mbentley/docker-omada-controller/discussions/621

The logs of the error: https://gist.github.com/mbentley/66a11f6e401802d3228d4a86373d055d

I don't exactly understand how the controller gets the TP-Link root CA but I did see a message on my controller, which is working fine on v6, where it has a message about:

09-08-2025 19:02:11.207 INFO [check-ca-certificate-update-work-group-0] [] c.t.s.o.m.c.f(): Checking Last Ca Certification...

So I wasn't sure if that process might have failed for those people or what exactly, assuming that is what the process does - grab the root CA but I am 100% guessing here.  I've checked to make sure it isn't a keystore CA issue but their java keystores look good - have all of the standard root CAs but obviously not the custom TP-Link one.

One user provided some debug logs I had them enable: https://github.com/user-attachments/files/22212133/omada6.log

From the logs, it's like there is a CN=tp-link-CA that gets trusted but it's missing the TP-Link Cloud Root CA.  Of course I could totally be misinterpreting the errors.

Hi.

1.

2. There is one Client connected directly to gateway.

3. On previous versions of controller I have never seen something like that.

4. On client list they are being shown as wired clients. Also a lot of clients which are connected to switch do not show IP addresses.

On the list above all devices which show IP address except Dawid PC are connected by WIFI Network

Also I have 3 locations in my controller and I can see it only in this one.

  @Vincent-TP I've upgraded from V5 to V6 (using Omada Docker on Raspberry from @mbentley) and since the upgrade, I'm not able anymore to use th iOS app: it won't find the controller anymore (the web interface is running, no issues there). Any idea what has been changed here? iOS app version is 4.25.58

Do you know when the Switches MAC based VLAN which was supposed to be introduced in V5.15.30 will be implemented?

I can't see any mention of it in the release notes for V6.

@Holl595 I haven't tested it out yet, but OUI Based VLAN might be the feature you're looking for:
