Hi @Tescophil
Here are some troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue:
Possible Causes & Fixes:
1. Network Connectivity
- Check Network Stability: Ensure the connection between the ER605 and the controller (wired or wireless) is stable.
- Disable STP (Spanning Tree Protocol): If enabled, STP can sometimes cause intermittent disconnections.
- Static IP for Controller: Assign a static IP to the device hosting the Omada Controller to prevent DHCP lease issues.
2. Controller Hosting Problems
- Check Host System Stability: If running on a PC/NAS, ensure the system isn’t going to sleep or experiencing resource bottlenecks.
- **Try a Different Host**: Test with the controller on another device (e.g., a Raspberry Pi, Docker, or a dedicated server).
3. Database Corruption
- Backup & Reset Controller: Sometimes, the controller database gets corrupted. Try:
- Backup settings → Reset the controller → Restore from backup.
- If the issue persists, set up from scratch without restoring.
4. Hardware/Port Issues
- Check Ethernet Cable/Port: A faulty cable or port can cause intermittent drops.
- Power Cycle: Restart both the ER605 and the controller host.
