Hi all,

I currently have a setup containing:

- OC200 controller

- ER707-M2 router

- TL-SG2210MP switch

- 3x EAP650 AP

- 2x EAP245 v3 AP

As I moved to a smaller appartment, I am going to simplify my setup by removing 3 APs and the controller. The devices remaining in the smaller setup I will manage standalone.

My questions:

1. How do I gracefully remove the controller from my network.

2. How to I ensure the settings that are now stored in the controller remain in the other network devices in standalone mode?

3. Any other caveats?

Thanks for your support!

Thanks for posting here.

Controller management and standalone management are two different approaches.

As GRL mentioned, if you want to use the standalone interface for management, you must reset these devices and reconfigure them. Alternatively, you can continue using the current configuration but won’t be able to make any changes.

My recommendation: Simply remove the unnecessary EAPs and keep the controller. This is the most hassle-free solution.

You cant really achieve what you want without starting over from scratch and resetting all the devices

If you disconnect OC200, the devices will remain with whatever configuration they currently have. but you wont be able to do anything on them when you log into the GUI - the only option that exists on a device that was under controller in their GUIs is to factory reset them

Main: ER8411 x1, SG3428X x1, SG3452 x1, SG2428LP x1, SG3210 x1, SG2218P x1, SG2008P x3, ES208G x1, EAP650 x6 Remote: ER7206 v2 x1, ER605 v2 x3, SG2008P x2, EAP650 x2, ES205G x1 Controller: OC300
