Is there a way to reset the controller's statistical data and start from scratch? For obvious reasons, I don't want to factory reset the controller.

Unfortunately (for me), I unchecked the option Retain Device Info thinking that it meant the statistics. After the controller restored itself from the backup file, all my device settings were gone. Everything failed to adopt and I had a real mess. Some devices went back to their default IP addresses and others were somehow configured with IP addresses from my ISP's router. I had to power cycle the switches and the EAP650-Desktop APs to get them to re-adopt. Finally, everything is back up.
You have to run restore and enable device info otherwise it's a restore without any devices, then it's just a mess.
