Hi Everyone

I wanted to give you my experience of being in this program for almost a full month now - I have been “Alpha Testing” the Alpha Testing program!

This is a great opportunity to have your voice heard - not just in reporting bugs but enhancements, feature improvements, new ideas and suggestions and everything in between

The communication with the Omada Development Team is polite, respectful, direct and efficient.  They have been quick to respond to all my tickets, following up where necessary and are happy to engage in conversation regarding bugs, feedback, suggestions and issues raised.

Over the last month, I have logged close to 100 tickets directly with the Omada Team, and a large percentage of them have been accepted, fixed or implemented.  Covering not just Omada v6 but also Gateways, Switches and EAPs

As noted in the OP, it is best not to be testing on production or live environments, but if you have a test bench, home lab, test networks or some spare equipment it is a great way to contribute.

I have strongly advocated for a number of improvements and features that have been raised here on the forum both by myself and others, and you will start to see some of these improvements on released Software and Firmware over time - It is important for everyone to understand that things cannot be fixed, added or improved straight away as soon as they are reported or raised, but having the chance to talk through these things directly with the developers is a fantastic opportunity to help improve Omada for everyone.

By registering for the program, you can help make that difference and make Omada as good as it can be!

I do not want to disclose anything specific, but here is a small taste of the kind of difference you can help make...

I do want to make something clear from my own perspective - as a participant in this program I will not be able to comment on the forum, or answer direct questions on topics, features, or issues that i am aware of directly, or any potential or upcoming features.  Please do not Message me for information either.  Keep going as you do - post your topics on the forum and let the Moderators do their job.  I am not TP-Link staff or employee and am dedicating my spare time to this.
