Suggestions on my setup and new router ideas

Currently I have 1gig Spectrum internet at my home. I’m coming out of the modem to the Spectrum supplied Sagemcom SAX2V1s Wifi6 router, which runs my house (1800sqft).  Using the router ports, I’m running approximately 175’ to an outside building. Where I’m connected to Omada ES206GP. This goes to an EAP610. Then from the ES206GP, I am running another line approximately another 75’ to a 2-story garage. Here I have another PoE switch feeding two more EAP610s, one in the garage and one upstairs in the apartment. I do have the EAP’s on separate channels on the 2.4ghz and reduced the TX power in the garage. For the last few days, it appears my internet has been dropping for a few seconds. The legacy seems slow. When I run speed test everything checks ok.  I’m not sure if I’m having bandwidth issue or if the Sagemcom router isn’t cutting it. I recently added the 2nd EAP in the upstairs apartment.  Now may be a good time to mention that I do not have a ton of knowledge regarding networking.  I would like to add another ES206GP and an OC200 in the house, to help with roaming.  I would like suggestions on a router or if anyone has other suggestions for my setup.  I thought about the ER706W or maybe just another TPlink router.

Thank you for any and all suggestions

Thank you for your post. For your network, you have two long cable runs in the middle, so you need to make sure both segments use high-quality cable to maintain reliable throughput.
In addition, you can add more APs for better wireless coverage, and putting an OC200 in to enable fast roaming is a smart move.
You could also replace the current router with an Omada gateway such as the ER605 or ER7206 so the entire network can be managed through the Omada SDN Controller.

@DReidT, have you tried power off the 2nd EAP added over the garage to see if the problem goes away?  Is this issue only with wifi clients around the outdoor building and garage?  More information about the client device, connection type (wired, wifi, band/frequency used, etc), physical location and any other helpful details would be good to know to provide a proper recomendation.

Here's a few additional comments based one th info you provided...

  • If the issues are only outside with the wifi, you may be able to adjust other AP settings to resolve the problem; adding a controller could help with the wifi optimization and speed up the roaming.
  • The OC200 controller can be powered via usb, so you don't need another ES206GP to add it in your house unless you don't have a free network port.
  • The Omada Controller will only help with Omada products.  If your issue is roaming between the home and outdoor buildings, you would need to add an Omada AP in the house and disable the Sagemcom router's wifi or replace the Sagemcom router with an Omada router with wifi like the ER706W you mentioned.
