Hi!

I have upgraded to the latest Omada SDN and discovered that my "supported" (using official link) devices do not have up-to-date firmware.  I was running 5.0.5 and 5.0.3 firmwares from 2021 on them. For US devices with the same hardware version the recent builds from 2025 are available, Canadian devices are stuck in 2022 with latest version published 5.0.8. I was able to finally upgrade manually to that version, but that's as far as I can go. At least this has removed the warning from the Controller...

I understand that Canada has made enough to deserve the disrespect ;) but, seriously, why don't you release the Canadian firmware on par with US ones? The difference must be minimal, if not none. Personally, I do not feel comfortable keeping investing in TP-Link devices at this point.

Hi  @ngrigoriev

Thanks for posting here.

The iteration planning varies by region/version, with some regions receiving updates faster than others. We will relay your feedback again, so please be patient.

Additionally, are you experiencing any issues with usage?

Hello,

The interations do not last 4+ years in firmware development.

4 years of security fixes, IPv6 support and like 50+ fixes if I look at the release notes. This exceeds my threshold of "disrespect".

I have seen the vendors abandoning product revisions and customers. I have _never_ seen a vendor abandoning the customers in a specific country, when the product difference is minimal.

Sorry, but my next network will be, most likely, OpenWRT-based. They do not seem to care about the nationality so much.
