Latest firmwares not showing in Omada & question about downgrading
Hi all,
I've looked on my omada setup (latest version) and on the support site and am a little confused as it seems that there are newer versions of the firmware available on the website than there are that omada is offering me to upgrade to.
for example for my eap245's
omada is telling me
5.2.0 Build 20240914 Rel. 59923
website is telling me
EAP245(EU)_V3_5.3.3 Build 20250627
neither appears to be beta
also last time i updated my 245 to the latest at the time (5.2.0) my smart electric heater refused to connect to wifi any more. (pretty sure its using an esp32 device inside of it) which was problematic so i had to roll back to 5.0.6.
I'm a bit concerned that 5.3.x says that it is "impossible to downgrade" and if i update to the latest version, and the heater still doesn't connect, that i'm going to be stuck without being able to roll back. and i guess it will be very unlikely that tplink will care enough to make any changes to their firmware for "old devices" for issues with one specific IoT device.
thoughts?
