Hi,

 

Can someone please guide a relative newby through what essential settings on both ends would be required to distribute wifi from an internet source wired to the EAP600?

Thanks for posting there.

 

EAP devices are plug-and-play. Use an Ethernet cable, plug the EAP into the Internet source, and you will get Internet from its default SSID.

You may want to modify the WLAN name of the EAP Below is a guide:

How to configure basic wireless settings of my TP-Link EAP in Standalone mode?

 

For a basic Internet connection, this is enough. Feel free to let us know if you want any other features.

Thanks. I have it working. What about tweaking for max performance? This first link is not particularly demanding being over about a kilometre but the next two I have planned are a bit further and ideally I would like to be able to get as much throughput at each client as reasonably possible. MW
