Hi  @SFlame

Please start a new thread to discuss the packet drop issue. For better understanding, please include the following info:

1. The affected firmware versions;

2. All bands having the issue, or only 2.4G, or else?

3. How many EAPs do you have in total? Do they all have this issue?

This has better stability on my eap772 v1 than 1.1.4, but still have major packet drops

What I sometimes don't understand is why new versions are offered here and other beta firmwares or older ones are available via the controller.

Why isn't this synchronized?

  @Vincent-TP

I updated 3 EAP773s from 1.1.2 to 1.2.0 about 4 days ago.  Now I am seeing one of those EAPs rebooting.  In the 4 days, that one EAP has rebooted 3 times.  None of the others have rebooted.  And prior to 1.2.0 there were no unexpected reboots on ANY of the EAPs.  Prior to 1.1.2 they had all been running non-stop for many many months.

Configuration is similar on all EAPs.  (Obviously, IP and WiFi channels are different.)  All are controlled by an OC-200.  All EAPs are powered from the same POE switch.  I see nothing in the logs and I have no idea why it is rebooting.

Hi  @TW_EPC

We offers a wide range of products, with different models being developed and maintained by separate teams. As a result, development progress varies across products. It's only natural that those completed earlier are released first, while others follow in due course.

Hi Vincent,

I know about the new products. But I mean, why isn't this firmware available in the controller? So why do I find different beta or pre-release versions in the forum than in the controller?

  @chrisdfw This happens with my eap670 v2 on 5ghz. The max is the same at 28dBm but when viewed from wifiman its 22. I think it has to do with channel width spreading out the transmit power. In other words this is likely intended behavior.

2.4 Wi-Fi is super slow with this firmware for me on my 783. I only get around 70-110Mbit with excellent signal.

Has anyone tested MLO yet with iPhones, Pixel and Samsung devices? Any issues?

  @chrisdfw

I see a similar thing on 5ghz, it is set to 30dBm but only shows 23dBm.

The 28 dBm you set is the EIRP (Equivalent Isotropically Radiated Power), which is the final transmit power limited by regulations. The 22 dBm displayed on this page is the actual RF power. The difference of about 6 dB mainly comes from the gain of the EAP783’s built-in antenna (approximately 6 dBi). The calculation formula is: EIRP = actual RF power + antenna gain. Therefore, the actual power of 22 dBm plus the 6 dBi antenna gain exactly achieves your set target of 28 dBm EIRP. This is completely normal and not a malfunction.

This change was introduced in a recent firmware update, and we will explain this situation in the release notes going forward. Thank you all for your attention.
