Thanks for asking.

Indoor 6GHz APs (Wi-Fi 6E/7 devices) are explicitly classified by regulations as “Low Power Indoor” equipment. Their transmit power is strictly limited to a very low level (e.g., the U.S. FCC specifies a maximum EIRP of 30 dBm), and they are designed to be fixed for indoor use only, making it difficult for their signals to leak outdoors. Given these characteristics of low power and indoor operation, the risk of causing harmful interference to protected outdoor incumbent services (such as microwave links) is extremely low. Therefore, these devices currently do not require AFC.

>Sounds like the best answer is to enable AFC in the firmware.  Do you have a ETA?

I didn't see a response to this.  Is it coming anytime soon?

The official documentation has stated this, "All the other 6GHz Wi-Fi7 models will support it in the future." for quite a while now. Is this true or is it not true? It seems like you're trying to provide excuses for why this feature which has been promised is not present over 2 years after release instead of useful information.

This kind of subversion and failure to deliver on promises is exactly how you lose customers for life.

We won't forget that TP-Link shared that AFC was going to be added to the EAP773/783 through a reviewer at release. It's been promised since they released.
