Hi  @NYF1NEST

Thanks for the reply.

To better understand the situation, please share a screenshot of the device page so that we can know the EAP model and firmware version.

What if lock the device to another EAP? will the same thing happen?

  @Vincent-TP

I have no tried locking the devices to another AP once i discover it was causing issue, i left the option unchecked since then i do have other devices on the network that is locked to AP enabled such as my Apple TV that are unaffected.

I've attach the requested screenshot of my network devices models and firmware.

Hi  @NYF1NEST

Thanks for the info.

Here are some more details we want to confirm:

i would have to power cycle the client device then remove (uncheck) the lock to AP option for the devices to stay connected.

>>>After you uncheck the lock to AP, will the client connect to the locked AP, or another AP? We want to judge based on this whether the AP with the strongest signal detected by the client at this moment is this lock AP.

 since then i do have other devices on the network that is locked to AP enabled such as my Apple TV that are unaffected.

>>>Is the Apple TV also locked to the same AP? or a different AP? If it is locked to the same AP, it indicates that the lock AP’s network was still operational when the issue occurred.

Here is a suggestion that may resolve this issue:

1. lock the clients, such as Ring Stick, to the AP;

2. Forget the network on the Ring Stick;

3. Reconnect the Ring Stick to the network.

Please have a test and let us know the results. Thanks.

  @Vincent-TP

yes the devices are still connected to AP and haven't since fell off.

I just verified that my Apple TV is no longer locked to the AP despite I had originally set that option, odd and I know this because it was trying to connect to another AP upstairs causing pixelations during my stream.  The Apple TV and AP is literally in the same room so I used that lock to AP option to force the Apple TV to stay connected to that AP.

I'll run the test you suggested on the Ava Brain unit as it's in the same room as the family room AP, the ring camera is outside in my backyard and it's cold, I don't want to go out there messing with that right now lol.

Ok I can confirm that the lock to AP does cause issue,  I have an older nest camera that falls off the network when I enable locked to AP option.  And won't connect back unless I turn it off, I've constantly ping the devices on my network and have seen the ping communication fail when I try to lock it to an AP.

Hi  @NYF1NEST

Does that mean this happens on all clients configured to Lock to AP, including the Apple TV?

Did you test with different EAPs? Or does this only happen on certain EAPs? If yes, please let us know which one it is. Thanks.
