Model: EAP113-Outdoor
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 5.0.7 Build 20230410 Rel. 69645

Hello.

I installed a EAP113-Outdoor(EU) v1.0 ap to extend my Omada wireless coverage.

But in the location where I installed this EAP113, my IOT wan is not working. The default WAN is working, I can connect to the internet fine.

None of the IOT devices (Aqara hub E1) can connect to the IOT wan. I also tried with my iphone, but the status icon shows just spinning and cannot connect to it.

If I move away and go under another AP, i cannot to the IOT wan fine, so it is not the setup of the WAN network, it has something to do with the EAP device.

The EAP113 is powered over POE. I also tried to move it inside the room and powered directly from a POE injector (the standard ones that come with the AP). Nothing helped.

What can I do?

Thank you

Hi  @Voala

Thanks for posting here.

Did you create two SSIDs—one default and one named “IOT”? Please share screenshots of your configuration so we can better understand the situation.

What device is the EAP connected to?

If I move away and go under another AP, i cannot to the IOT wan fine,

>>>What's the other AP? Please share us the topology of the network.

  @Vincent-TP Than you for replying.

Yes, I have two SSID:

-metalink (the default ssid)

-metalink-iot (the ssid used for iot devices)

I am trying to connect a Aqara E1 hub to this AP.

The thing is that I can connect the hub to the regular ssid metalink, but I cannot connect it to the IOT ssid, so something is wrong with the IOT wan.

Also, I have multiple hub like this connected in other places under other APs, on the metalink-iot wan.

(the entire network is Tp-Link Omada).

I attached the topology of the lan.

- the AP with the problem is AP5 - Corp A

- connected to it at the momment is Aqara Hub W1 Gradina (but over default ssid metalink)

- for reference you can see another  under Aqara E1 hub connected over metalink-iot to AP2 - Corp B, so this prooves that the issue is not with the setup of the wan metalink-iot

Let me know if I can provide other info.

Thank you

Hi  @Voala

Thanks for the reply.

Please refer to the following guide to adjust the settings of the IoT WLAN.

 Troubleshooting Guide for Unstable IoT Device Connections

EAP113-outdoor is a 2.4G-only access point, so technically, the default WLAN and the IOT WLAN are only different in name, but identical in all other aspects.

If still the same, please try the following:

1. Delete the IOT SSID and create a test one again, please keep the other settings the same as the default one;

2. Forget the EAP113-outdoor and readopt it.

  @Vincent-TP

I tried all of the above. The issue is still the same.

I cannot connect to that device over the IOT ssid.

BTW, the IOT ssid is linked to the IOT wan with network 50 (xx.xx.50.x), so it is not just a different ssid.

Thank you.
