Hi All,

I have two buildings (A & B) with EAP225 Outdoor access points. I use mesh to connect buildings together.

Building A has ER605 router and Internet uplink. Its EAP225 (lest call it AP1) acts as an uplink node for building B.

In Building B I have 2 EAP225 Outdoor (AP2 AP3). They are connected locally to SG2005P-PD v1.0 switch.

AP2 has better signal from AP1 (ca -74 dBm), while AP3 has -87dBm.

But when devices get restarted / rebooted in building B., AP3 usually gets up first and connects to AP1. This disables mesh client in AP2. As the result, the connection is unstable due to weak signal and the fact, that AP3 handles most clients in the building.

Is there a way of prioritizing AP2 over AP3?

Thank you!

Hi  @JackShepard

Thanks for posting here.

So the AP3 is expected to be a downlink AP to the AP2, right?

You may avoid this by manually lowering the tx power of the AP3:

This should prevent it to detection of the AP1's signal.
