Model: ES210X-M2
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.1 Build 20251128 Rel.41332

NOTE: Actual model is ES210X-M2, but I am unable to select it

I am experiencing severe packet loss (~95%) when using 1G SFP modules in the SFP+ ports in the ES210X-M2 switch.

Tested SFP Modules: TP-Link TL-SM321B-2 and Pro Optix GLC-BX-U-1315-20-SC-O.

In a separate media converter (SFP 1G), they work good.

I have tried all different switch configurations, speed (10/1Gbps), duplex (full, auto), flow control (on/off).

Hi  @Star777

May I ask what is your network topology?

Do you mean if there is a media converter connected between, the ES210X-M2 can work fine with the two SFP modules you tested?

How did you test or find the packet loss? Did you try to use the 2.5GB RJ45ports and check its connectivity?

  @Hank21

My network topology:

ISP --- SM Fiber ~150m --- ES210X-M2 --- LAN

What I mean is that the SFP modules work when I test them in a media converter, but not when they are plugged into the switch.

This setup works perfectly with zero packet loss:

[Fiber from ISP] --- [TL-SM321B-2 in Media Converter] --- [RJ45] --- [ES210X-M2 2.5G RJ45 port] --- LAN

But with this setup, I get packet loss:

[Fiber from ISP] --- [TL-SM321B-2 directly in ES210X-M2 SFP+] --- LAN

So the 2.5G RJ45 ports work perfectly. That is how I connect the media converter, and that is how my LAN devices connect.

The problem is only with the SFP+ ports when using 1G SFP modules.

Packet loss tested with ping -t www.google.com
