Model: ER605 (TL-R605)
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.2

After upgrading an ER605 v1.0 firmware from v1.3.1 to v1.3.2 it will not connect to the internet. Are there any unusual settings that have changed that I might need to look at?

When I couldn't get the internet connection to start working again I did a factory default on the router, still on 1.3.2, and tried to connect directly (standalone mode), but it still wouldn't work. I reverted to the older v1.3.1 firmware and the internet immediately started working again (while still in a factory defaulted condition). I tried another upgrade to 1.3.2 from the factory default state and the internet stopped working again.

So once more I downgraded to 1.3.1 and it work normally again.  I readopted it into the system and it works as it should.

Any ideas why v1.3.2 might cause the loss of internet?

Hi,  @DataMeister

Thank you for posting on our business forum.

Below are recommended troubleshooting steps for you to try:

1.After upgrading the firmware, please run through the full Quick Setup wizard in your gateway's management interface, then check if you can successfully establish an internet connection.
2.Try adjusting your WAN MTU value to 1492 or 1480 to see if this resolves the connectivity issue.

If the problem still persists after trying the steps above, could you please provide us with the following information for further investigation:
1.Your complete network topology
2.The management method you use for your router. If you manage it via a controller, please also specify your controller type and its current version.
We appreciate your cooperation and will look into this issue further once we receive the relevant details from you.
