TP-Link 2 EAP Access Points with MLO backhaul
Good afternoon,
I recently purchased two EAP783(EU) v1.0 Access Points, which offer speeds of up to 19,000 Mbps and feature three Wi-Fi bands: 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz
The first Access Point is connected via cable to my LAN using an Ethernet connection to a 10Gb switch, and I have verified that it synchronises at 10Gb, but for various reasons, I cannot run an Ethernet cable to where the second Access Point is located, so I thought the communication between the two Access Points in the mesh would be via Wi-Fi. However, I assumed that to establish this mesh connection, it would utilise the full power of the Wi-Fi, combining all three bands in MLO to aggregate the speeds, but I have not been able to achieve this.
I can only get the connection to work using a single band, the 6GHz band; no matter how many combinations of Wi-Fi settings I’ve tried on both Access Points, it’s impossible. I’ve also been searching online for how to use TP-Link EAP Access Points with MLO backhaul, but I haven’t found anything; perhaps it’s my fault and I didn’t search properly.
I’d be grateful if any of you could help me with this aim of using MLO to configure the MLO backhaul in a mesh network. Many thanks, best regards.
