Model: VIGI VMS
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.8.90

Hello!

I have a problem with a new installation of VIGI VMS 1.8.90. I tried to add my Axis M1025 camera which is fully ONVIF compatible and which is recognized by other VMSs and NVRs.

However, I can't get the camera added to VIGI VMS.

No matter if I scan for devices or if I add it manually via IP, I always get an error saying there is no information about the device. Worse, there appears to be no facility in VIGI VMS to enter camera login details, which I assume would be required to add the camera here.

Is there a way to get the camera added I have missed? Because otherwise I really like VIGI VMS and just wished there was a Linux version of it as there is for the OMADA controller.

Thanks,

F.

Hi  @FishFinger

Thanks for reaching out to TP-Link Business Forums.

May I know if you have pre-configured the Axis camera on its own APP first? You may need to set it up with its management password before adding it to the VIGI VMS.

Also, do you have our VIGI NVR?

Currently, if you want to add an IPC to the VMS, you may need to add the NVR to the VMS first. Frequently asked questions of VIGI VMS | TP-Link

BTW, the VIGI VMS system is only available for the Window server. We will help send a feedback to our R&D team and they can review the suggestion for further consideration. Thanks for your feedback.
