Support open source HID UPS protocol (usbhid-ups) over USB to Omada Controller.  Dashboard display of UPS status and State of Charge (SoC%).

For the following purposes, in order of priority:

  1. Basic entry into this feature is to simply show UPS status (Ready, Charging, Discharging) and SoC%.  Quick feature implementation.
  2. Omada Log and timestamp Battery on Discharge Assists with troubleshooting.  Every power interruption will now be logged accurately.
  3. Some UPS' expose deeper details like:
  • Load

  • Percent Load

  • Real Power

  • Run Time To Empty

  • Remaining Time Limit

  • These items can come later if there is a demonstrated appetite by the customer base.

4. Add actions based on SoC% trigger thresholds.  Partial shutdowns of the WiFi distribution to extend battery runtime.

I have some sites in power outage prone area's.  Integrating UPS status into the Omada dashboard and logs would be a great troubleshooing tool.  Also just "neat"!

Thank you for considering.
