Does TPlink EAP 110 outdoor resets itself when power outage?
Hi! To whom this may concern,
I got an outdoor TP Link EAP 110 and I enable the external radius authentication. Everything works fine. Recently, there are a lot of times of that power fluctuates and this past few days I notice the the accounts of clients data usage are not moving or empty. I went to the location and found out that my EAP 110 was reset and without password. All people connects to it freely. My question is, does that EAP110 reset itself on consecutive power loss? Starlink resets itself when plug and remove power for 7 times consecutively.
I'm really thinking that someone climbed to my EAP and manually resets it. You need a long ladder to reach though and my neighbor don't seems to own a long ladder. I think they are trust worthy, maybe.
By the way, I'd like to report also. I'm not sure about this but maybe there was an error on my configuration.
I setup a SSID (HotspotNet) and it authenticates using radius (external). I left the password field empty cause if ask for authorization before getting a connection the internet. It works fine but then, I tried extending the SSID (radius auth) using my Comfast AP to reach far cause the TPLink EAP 110 can only reach 100m less. Since the SSID (HotspotNet) don't have password, the Comfast AP connects automatically. I did not put password on the new Comfast AP (SSID, "Hotspot_Extender"). I connect to the "Hotspot_Extender" and it connects me to the internet automatically. It does not ask for the radius login.
