I have multiple unix machines, that have one fysical network interface. I want them to reside in multple VLANS, because i don't want to route sensor data, so theay have an interface in the management network and a virtual interface in another VLAN. This is perfectly  possible by creating an extra interface eth1.5 for instance for VLAN 5. But now comes the annoying part, I cannot make a reservation in VLAN 5 for the same IP adress as in VLAN 1. So I can make an reservation in one VLAN not in multiple, This MAC address conflicts with an existing DHCP Reservation entry.

On windows Server it is possible to have a MAC adress have a reseravtion in multiple VLANS.

As I see it, this is just a software limitation, as it is perfectly possible. Also with my router forwarding it to my current DHCP server, it is working.

I believe this is a limitation in the Omada system.  In my case, I have a laptop used for maintenance and I would like it to always have the same last octet when it connects to a given VLAN, for example 192.168.xx.100 where xx is the VLAN ID.  The system does not allow the same MAC address to be used more than once, even if the assignment is in a different VLAN.  The only workaround I found was to use an external DHCP server.
