OMADA Controller: New Site Binding did not work
After the Update to Version 6.2.10.17 we can't bind any new site to a Site Template.
The Omada Controller reports: "Failed to sync this site with the site template due to unexpected errors."
It does not matter whether I want to assign the template during creation or retroactively.
Does anyone have an idea about this problem? The IP address of the templates' intranet is not reused elsewhere.

Thank you for posting on our Business Forum.
Please try to delete your existing Site Template, then create a new Test template as per the steps outlined in this guide, and verify whether the process completes successfully.

Thank you for providing the relevant information.
The SNMP passphrase is required to be 10 to 32 characters in length. If this issue occurs in the new version of the controller, it is most likely caused by the updated password policy introduced in the new release. Please modify your SNMP passphrase to meet the new length requirement, then test whether you can successfully bind the site template to the new site.

The SNMP error in the template has been resolved.
I created an additional new template—a manual copy of the existing one—but when attempting to create further networks, I encounter the error "ERRCODE.eNaN" along with the message: "This VLAN already exists in a site template."
Upon reviewing the new template, I noticed that under "Device Configuration – Port Profile," only the "Disable," "Default," and "All" profiles are present; the other LAN-specific rules are missing.
We are now unable to proceed with the rollout of 600 TP-Link devices!

Hi, @IT_KA-Sulingen
Thank you for your reply.
Our team has conducted relevant tests in our laboratory, but we have not detected any abnormal functionality related to the issue you reported. Regarding the error message "This VLAN already exists in a site template", this error is generally triggered when you attempt to create a LAN with a duplicate VLAN ID.
If your issue is time-sensitive, our team would be more than happy to assist you with to configure this feature remotely. Should you be willing to proceed with this arrangement, please add our account to your controller. I will send you a private message shortly with all relevant details. Thank you very much for your cooperation.

Thank you for your cooperation.
Our team has completed the analysis of the issue and come to our preliminary findings. The likely cause of the problem is inconsistent fields in the old Site template after upgrading from an older version of Controller to the latest one.
For now, our recommended temporary workaround is to create a brand-new Site template without copying the existing one. Our internal testing verified that this approach enables successful binding of a Site to the newly created Site Template.
Our team will conduct a further in-depth investigation into this issue and release a permanent solution as soon as possible. Thank you again for your understanding and cooperation.
