Hi @yves.remy

Thanks for reaching out to TP-Link Business Forums.

May I confirm whether you are still using a VPN when configuring SD-WAN? If yes, then please disable it first.

Also, may I kindly ask what type and version of your controller it is?

You can refer to this setup FAQ if you are using V6.2 controller: How to Configure SD-WAN via Omada Controller v6.2 | Omada Network Support

Can you share more SD-WAN setup so that we could check it for you?

Also, I've checked the firmware on our global official website and this gateway is upgraded to V2.4.3.

You can upgrade it to the latest firmware version to give it a try: ER605 | Omada Network Support

  @Gabriel-TP

Hi

with the new firmware V2.4.3 the hub and spoke works now.

The baseline behavior seems better, but strangely, not all connected devices are reachable; for PCs, firewall authorization was enough, but for home automation devices... it remains unclear... I don't understand why they can't be pinged from the hub or the spoke across the SD-WAN.

there are only two vlan's. do we need to apply ACL'S?

i follow the How to Configure SD-WAN via Omada Controller v6.2 | Omada Network Support

thank you

Hi @yves.remy,

I had issues with SD-WAN too:

  1. SD-WAN disconnected - had to reboot both gateways to bring the connection back - which was quite annoying as this requires someone on the other site
  2. Cannot add route to SDWAN for a VLAN without DHCP server - which was even more annoying

As a solution, I've replaced SD-WAN with WireGuad tunnel, which is quick and extremely stable - I had since Nov 2015 absolutely no issue with random disconnects or reconnect problems after internet outage. Additionally you can route any network via tunnel when it is reacheble from the router - must not be managed by router (as in SD-WAN setup case)
