CPE210 V1.1 Australia drops out often

Model : CPE210
Hardware Version :
Firmware Version : 1.3.0 Build 20150612 Rel. 50957
ISP : iiNet
I have got 2 Ubiquiti Nanostation M's connecting from in town to a building at the back of the property, and then 2 CPE210's connecting it to the house <100m away. But the internet connection constantly drops out for up to 2 minutes at a time, then comes back on its own.
The one that is transmitting is set to access point mode, and the other is set to client mode.
I have the transmit power set to 11dBm, the distance is 0.1km, and it is set to have a static IP.
Firmware Version: 1.3.0 Build 20150612 Rel. 50957
Should I set it to DHCP?
I think the distance may be a bit less than 0.1km, could that affect it?

That's a quite old version, update to latest firmware (2.1.12). Note that CPE210 HW v1.x uses standard Pharos firmware (same files as for CPE510 and WBS210/510), while CPE210 HW v2+ uses a different firmware version.

No, static IP is fine. Ensure they have different, unique IPs. Distance of 100m also is no problem, but set TX power to maximum, wireless mode to 802.11n, short GI enabled, WMM enabled, channel bandwidth 20MHz. Also make sure you ground the devices properly (see the installation guide) and adjust antennas of both devices carefully (status page will help you doing so).

Thanks, I'll try those things out and get back to you It doesn't appear to have a ground cable and from what I can tell we didn't use shielded Ethernet cables. Would that be causing the dropouts? Even when there is no storm? A while ago our power went out during a storm, and when it came back up the Cpe210 was reset and I had to configure it again. Is that due to it not being grounded.

Signal strength is o.k., but could be better on such a short distance. Try to align the CPE's front exactly to each other. You should also upgrade the firmware to 2.1.12. Download it from the german TP-Link website (tp-link.de), you can find the Pharos 2.1.12 firmware on their WBS510 support page. Albeit it's marked for V2 devices only, it installs on CPE210 v1.1, too.

Before you sent that I had already installed v2.1.6 from the Australian cp210 page. Is that one fine?

I had no problems with v2.1.6, but given the fact that 2.1.11 and 2.1.12 were released shortly thereafter, changes are that bugs have been fixed since 2.1.6.
