This is my first time setting this up at home. I downloaded the OMADA controller because the web browser link didn't work. However, for some reason the EAP never showed up on the Access Point list.

It would help if you tell more about hardware and software versions of the EAP and version/platform of Omada Controller.

Make sure the EAP225 uses latest firmware and is set to factory defaults before trying to adopt it. You could also try to manually discover the EAP using the EAP Discovery Utility if automatic discovery by the Controller fails.

Hi! I had the same problem now. It was initially detected but after I adopted it using the omada controller software I lost the EAP from the network. Status lights are all green in POE and EAP. I unplugged and plugged it back in to the power outlet to no avail. I haven't reset the device yet. I can see two reset button, one on the EAP and the other button on the POE. I apprehensive to reset the device I might press the wrong the button. Please enlighten me.

Thanks.

I connect the POE to tplink wifi router and I set it up using the omada controller software on the laptop. Do i have to change to static ip? sorry noob.

Omada controller software: V3.2.10

EAP 225 US v1.8

You can reset the EAP via the reset button on it and then try again. And if that still doesn't work, access the EAP via web, upgrade the firmware to the latest and try again.

@paparazz01, as you can see from the log, the adopt failed at all.

Press the EAP's reset button for 5-7 seconds (not the PoE injector's button) until the LED starts to blink to restore factory settings. Also make sure Omada controller runs on a system wired to the network. If your laptop is connected wirelessly to your network, you shouldn't run Omada controller on it, it will cause all kinds of trouble.
