T2600-28TS (TL-SG3424) Not initializing/Working
T2600-28TS (TL-SG3424) Not initializing/Working
Hi guys.
I recently bought this mentioned switch, and it have worked unmanaged for a little month, but now it doesnt.
i came home from work, to a home without internet, and went to my router to turn off/on since it have worked sometimes (the local distributor is not the best)
just to se the switch turned off in all the LEDs except the PWR LED.
I thought the switch just needed a new initialization, and ended up waiting two hours, and still no connections.
Then i turned the switch off/on, but still the same result; no initialization and no connections. (shown in picture below)
Next step was to disconnect everything except my laptop and connect to the GUI (wich i have never used before, since the switch worked as a unmanaged)
But i could not connect to the GUI, so okay, i will try this CLI im not the best with. and to my big suprise i cannot establish any connection.
So i cannot access the switch via GUI or CLI and therefore; cannot reset the switch. (and no reset button on case)
My conclusion: defect equipment?
Any other suggestions from you guys?
And sorry for the bad English :)
Regards.

Hi Thimozabi
So the SYS LED also can not trun on? Only power LED?
Maybe you can use the console cable to have a try, I mean use the Putty.

Hi Panda.
No the SYS LED and whole initialization process does not start. So yes, only PWR LED goes on, (even though i have waited 1 day and several hours)
The console cable does not respond to either USB and RJ-45, i think its perhaps because the initialization is not done?
I have a TS2500G-10MPS POE switch wich is working without question, and i can access it without any problems via the GUI (havnt tried Console)

Maybe you can try to upgrade the frimware and you can refer to the FAQ.

It seems the device is faulty, you may check the warranty for RMA.

Hello I have exactly the same problem as you. But would it be possible to recover an image on another swicth of this model and to redo the installation via tftp if so which could put me a uImage.img in download at the end to perform the test and can be saved to other users if it was functional thanks Gerard.

Hello, i think i had similar issue with the old TL-SG3424.
I described my progress here:
https://forum.hddguru.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=41367
I still need a working config (default factory config, or anything) mainly for reference, but it might resurrect my unit, as the fw updates didn't and the config is definitely corrupt/empty.
I also started a topic on this forum about the same issue a few days ago. (the search function of this forum is very poor, it brings up quadzillions of posts for like 'configuration file', most of which have perfectly no relation to the search term, so i gave up searching the forum, it is not for humans i think.
