Hi experts,

I'm wondering whether possible for TP-Link 12-Port Gigabit SFP L2 Managed Switch with 4 Combo 1000BASE-T Ports (TL-SG5412F) supports native IPv6 in future firmware release ? I think it is make sense for such a switch to have IPv6 feature just like other business switches. Anyway, here are few features (at least) this switch should have:

1. IPv6 support

2. Basic IPv4/IPv6 routing feature (static routing, DHCP and related)

This would be sufficient enough for most of business customers (I think).

Given that this switch is suitable to be as a 'core switch'. Having Layer-3 features similar like newer switches such as TP-Link JetStream. It is good to have those Layer-3 routing features (including advanced routing such as RIP and OSPF for both IPv4 & IPv6).

Just a suggestion.

Thanks.

Hi Bambinotenchie,

If you have paid attention to the Jetstream Switch product line, you may have noticed that there‘s a new model called T2600G-28SQ. That is the alternative model for TL-SG5412F. It has 24 Gigabit SFP slots, 4 Combo Gigabit RJ45 ports and 4 10G SFP+ slots. Meanwhile, it is equipped with the latest Jetstream software including full IPv6 support and abundant L2+ features like static routing, DHCP server and so on.

As for the L3 features, we'll consider about that. Thanks for your advice.
