Model: EAP245
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 2.2.0 Build 20190530 Rel. 56122

I have a question about EAP 245 VLAN handling on the passthrough port.

My config has has 3 SSID's on 3 separate VLAN's. The access point is connected to a TL-SG2210P smart POE switch. I've found that if I set the port that the EAP245 is connected to to be "tagged" for VLAN1, I lose contact with the devices that are downstream of the passthrough port (a dumb switch with multiple devices). If I set the port to back to untagged for VLAn1 access is restored. The other two VLAN's (20 and 107) are set to tagged on this port and the wireless networks are working correctly.

Should the EAP245 be passing VLAN1 tags or setting the packets to be untagged on the passthrough port?

Hi,

If you set the Switch port as "tagged" for VLAN1, then only the wireless clients belong to VLAN1 SSID will get the packets. Please check if the VLAN ID of this SSID is VLAN1.

There's no problem with wireless clients. Devices on all 3 SSID's are working fine. The issue is the wired devices attached to the switch on the EAP245 passthrough port. I was thinking about this further. If the EAP passthrough is a bridge simply passing packets through then the dumb switch (TP-SG108) will not understand them and will reject all tagged packet?
