Model: EAP245
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.4.0 Build 20180323

LS,

I have a problem with the EAP245 that I cannot access my wifi switches connected to the AP.

I have a few switches connected to an airport express and a few connected to the TPlink EAP245.

After a reboot of the AP, all switches are visible and can be pinged.

But after a few days, only the switches connected to the airport express are visible, can be pinged. Switches are still working (domoticz) but the (Tasmota) main page cannot be reached. Also Ping does work.

After a reboot of the EAP245, all is working again for a few days...

Please advice.

Best regards,

Roland

@RolandJ

How many EAP245 do you have? How do you manage the EAP devices?

Do you try to reset the EAP to have a check (not reboot)?

@forrest

I only have 1 EAP245. I manage it via HTTP.

i did not try to reset the AP. Do you think this will help?

@RolandJ Please try to reset it.

After you reset it, if the problem still exists, please tell us the network topology.

@RolandJ

Problem returned today.

The AP was reset to factory default about 2 weeks ago.

And today, the same problem happened again.

After power cycle, all is ok again

@RolandJ

It may be related to your network topology or wireless settings.

I guess your network topology is like the following, yes? That is, your EAP is connected to the switch and the switch is connected to a router, when your client devices connect to the EAP, they cannot access the switch unless you reboot the switch, yes?

If the problem occurs again, please ping the EAP/switchRouter on your wireless packets and capture the packets.
