Hi together,

sry for my english. I try my best to describe my Problems with my ER6020.

First of all, the Firewall works fine but i´m not able to activate L2TP VPN.

The ER6020 is the first device after the modem from my cable operater. After the 6020 i have a Linksys e4200 as a Access Point. There is also a Linksys Switch connected at the 6020.
PPTP VPN works without any Problems.
I configured L2TP how is describe at youre FAQs on the TP-Link Website. Name, Password, Shared Secret, Client to Lan, IP Range is different to the LAN IP-Range, IP-Sec is on.
Router is 192.168.1.1, DHCP 192.168.1.100-140, L2TP Range 192.168.0.10-20. If i configure L2TP on my iPhone (and i have checked the Logindetails 1000times), i have always the message that it can´t connect to the L2TP server, because there is no response. Sometimes i get the message, that the authorization failed. I deactivated all Firewallrules and the other stuff in the Firewallpart, but nothing will help. I can´t connect. I doesn´t work also in the LAN.
So i have no idea what can i do. Did i forgot something?
I have an Dyndns account which works without Problems, because i can connect over PPTP. I have also tried the IP Adress from my provider and my LAN IP-Adress. Nothing works.

I have also a L2TP Server on my Mac. That will works fine. I have forwarded the necessary ports in the virtual server. But i don´t want the Server in my internal network. I bought the ER6020 for this L2TP VPN.

I don´t think that is an Problem with NAT. My Mobile Operater use NAT but L2TP works with my Server on my Mac and the 6020 is the first Router in my LAN.

Please help, i don´t know what can i do and i like this router but if i can´t use L2TP,i don´t need it.

It is said that the 6020 L2TP VPN can not support Iphone. Iphone requires special VPN tunnel that this router can not support at the moment.

it works now with Android. I reset the 6020 and make a new connection with L2TP and it works with Android, but not with iOS. I hope TP-Link will fix it. Other VPN producer will support iOS, like bintec, zyxell,... In this time, it´s necessary to support iOS devices!!

One Problem left. I can´t go to the internet when i connected over L2TP with the 6020. What i have to do? i have filled in, In the client on my Android Tablet, the Gateway 192.168.1.1. The IP Adresspool for VPN is 192.168.2.10-20. Gateway is 192.168.1.1.. Should i need a static route? If yes, where and what i have to write in the 6020?

Thx 4 support.

Now it works. I have manually added a DNS Server in the client.
