Hi All,

Just wondering if someone has donea  ceiling/wall-mount with these unit on a concrete/cement type wall/ceiling?

From the designs of this unit it doesn't look like it is a practical scenario without modifying the mounting bracket?

Kind Regards

Perhaps the figures are unclear.

Option #1 is for "drop ceilings" -- aka indoor ceilings with fibre board panels on a grid.

Option #2 is for BOTH Wall and Ceiling where the substrate is hard -- like drywal, plasterboard, concrete, etc.

AsankaG, if you want to lay the patch cable on the surface, you can use three small wooden blocks as spacers and somewhat longer screws.

Hi @AsankaG,

I'm not sure I follow.  I haven't done a ceiling mount on concrete, but I have on drywall.  The mounting bracket just has three molly bolt / dry wall achors.  You might need to swap these out for ones for use concrete/masonry.  The cable can come out to the side or through a separate hole.

Sorry, not sure what I'm missing.  Option #2

I have this setup for a few 225s and a 245. I didn't want to bother with drilling so I mcgyvered the mounts with some 3M rollmagic (clear) double sided tape. As for the cabling, I just ran a white cable to it (secured with self adhesive white cable clips) that matches my ceiling's color so it isn't an eyesore.

@JSchnee21

Thanks for the info. It looks like I would have to get creative to install these on concrete walls/ceilings with regards to feeting the ethernet cables.

@R1D2

Thanks for this suggestion. I think this is the route that I may have to go for.
