Model: OC200
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.7.0 Build 20200703 Rel.59609

Hello everybody,

i have a problem with my eap225 and my oc200 omada controller.

Since ich migrated my configuration from the omada software controller (version 4.1.5) to my oc200 omada hardware controller (version 4.1.5, the devices only connect with 802.11g in the 2.4 Ghz band and 802.11a in the 5Ghz band.

I rebooted all devices (eap and oc200 controller) and reconfigured my wireless networks but nothing happend.

Everey client taht is connect to the wireless network gets only a 802.11g oder 802.11a connection.

This is verry annoying beacuse i only can user 54 Mbit/s connection speed.

Did anyone have the same problem or an idea why this is happening.

if i used my software controller the connection works fine for me, with spped up to 800 Mbit/s

Thank you for your feed back.

I you need more infromation like logs or other stuff let it know me.

I found the problem seems like a bug in the ap configuration.

I disabled WMM on all Aps --> wait for configuration --> enable it again

after doing that the connection to the clients work fine

Oddly enough this thread helped me with a similar problem; I have a large number of 2.4Ghz security cameras at a location, and after updating to Omada Controller 4.2.4 I started having really bad disconnect issues with them. I ended up turning off WMM and it solved my issue; I had planned to turn it back on as in the above but I don't really need it as most of my heavy media using devices are on 5Ghz.

@Christian2705 I have the same issue here, I have disabled and reenabled WMM, however all my primary devices are all still on 802.11A
If I change the properties in my driver settings on my laptop not to connect to A it will then connect to N which still caps me at 72mb limit

at some point in the last few months this seems to have happened, as the last time i remember running a speed test on wifi i was getting 400Mbps down minimum.
Is there a setting I need to change somewhere as everything is all upto date, down to the drivers on my machines.

Edit:
I have
2x EAP 245 (v3.0)   5.0.3
1x EAP 225-Outdoor (EU) V1   5.0.5

1x OC200 1.0   4.4.6       1.9.3

plugged into T1500G-10PS v2.0   2.0.6

going into my core switch TL-SG2218v1.0   1.1.1

Plugged into my TL-R605 v1.0  1.1.1
