Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 2020

This is my first TP-Link switch. Trying to learn what to do here for my setup.

My setup:

  • Ports 1-36 VLAN untagged 10, tagged 50
  • Ports 37-48 VLAN untagged 50, tagged 10
  • VLAN for computers is 10. VLAN for phones is 50
  • PVID for ports 1-36 is 10, PVID for ports 37-48 is 50

If I plug a computer into port 1-36 I get the expected IP address from my DHCP server for the VLAN 10. If I plug a phone into port 37-48 I get the expected IP address from the DHCP server for VLAN 50. That all works as expected.

My phones have two ethernet ports on them to plug a computer into the second ethernet port (to share one wall ethernet port). The phone settings allow me to tag the two ports. I have the phone/network port that is directly plugged into the wall tagged vlan 50 and the computer/passthrough port ont he phone vlan tagged 10.

I get the same phone dhcp range on both ports when I expect the computer/passthrough port to give me dhcp address from the computer pool.

What am I doing wrong?
