This is rather a werid issue, I'm connected to the 2.4ghz SSID and able to get 60mbps download with no problems. If i leave my phone for 30 minutes and do another speed test the max i get is 12mbps. There are no additional connections at this time and nothing that would use up the bandwidth. 

 

To resolve this if i toggle the wifi off/on and connect to the exact same AP EAP245 in the exact location the speeds go up to 60mbps. 

 

If i leave it again for 30 minutes it again goes back down to 12mbps, it isn't the phone that's problem as I've tested the above steps on an EAP225 and this does not have this issue.

 

Could it be this is a channel issue or something else?

Most issue on 2.4G is a channel problem.

 

You could use a WIFI analyzer APP/software to pick the best channel, and then fix to it, do not use auto. Make sure you can get 60M download on that fixed channel and channel width.

If the problem happens again, use the WIFI analyzer APP/software again, test if the best channel changed or not.

 

Because if you set the channel and channel width on auto, every time after a reboot, the EAP will detect and select the best channel.

Channel width is 20MHz, I've used the RF scanning on the EAP and it is on the best channel. 

 

Currently it is on channel 11, I've switched it to channel 6 and it is the same problem. I cannot use channel 1 as that is used by my other EAP which has been okay so far and actually has a security camera on it as well.

 

I've setup a 2.4ghz SSID and been using that for testing, what I've noticed is that sometimes the phone is connected but no web pages load, the omada app fails to connect as well.

Not sure why this happens only on your EAP245 not EAP225, maybe you should swap their location for a test, if the problem persist, you should consider to  a replacement.

So the other issue I've been trying to fix is losing kasa devices from the kasa app, sometimes they will show up but will take 30 seconds to respond. I deleted the 2.4ghz SSID on the EAP245 which caused all my devices to move to the EAP225 and everything comes up and instant response. I re-add the 2.4ghz SSID on the EAP245 and reconnect only one kasa device. All kasa devices are on the EAP225 except the one that has now moved to the EAP245 and that one device is the only one that has issues.

 

So it definitely seems like an issue with the EAP245, once read other threads complaining about slow performance on the EAP245 2.4GHZ as well.
